Tour Plan

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be meet by Aromatic Expeditions Limited representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Overnight will be at your accommodation awaiting for your safari on the next day.

In the morning you will be collected from your accommodation in Arusha by your personal Safari Guide. The drive to Tarangire is on a good tarmac road, across the gently rolling Masai plains with scattered acacia trees. En route, you will pass many Masai in their colurful dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding their cattle and driving donkeys carts.

Tarangire National Park is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and Tarangire River in search of many animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and giraffe. It’s possible that you will catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards watching and relaxing in the trees above. After an extensive game drive, having experienced the various sights and sounds of the wilderness, you will leave the park and head to one of our luxury partner Lodges or Luxury Tented where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast you will drive through the Rift Valley to the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro highlands. The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera, is almost 20km wide, approximately 610 m deep and is known for its large variety of wildlife, including the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. It should be recongnised as one of the world’s wonders. It is truly magnificent.

In addition to the Big Five, the various springs attract animals such as wildebeest, gazelles, reedbucks and more than 500 bird species. At a picnic site you will have lunch before enjoying some more game viewing in the crater. You will leave the crater in the afternoon, driving up the steep road out of the crater and return to the Lodge in Karatu

After breakfast your driver will drive you to Manyara airstrip and fly to the the Serengeti National Park which we will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania covering an astounding 15,000 kms squared with diverse landscapes and habitats such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountain. Here the great migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope takes place and, depending on the season, we may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for food and water.

After an extensive game drive, we drive to the Seronera Valley for an evening meal and overnight stay at our carefully selected luxury partner lodge or Tented Camp.

This entire day is set aside for game drives upon the Serengeti. The Serengeti, the habitat of an abundance of wildlife such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo, is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. In November and December the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, we may have the opportunity to see the resident predators, leopard, cheetah, and lion, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.

After an unforgettable day, we will return to our luxury partner lodge for dinner and our overnight sleep on The Endless Plain.

You will spend a full day in this incredible place, exploring the park, its animals and incredible landscapes. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as impala, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. Apart from the migrating herds, you may see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs and lions.

After breakfast, your driver will drive you to the airstrip in Serengeti to catch your flight to Arusha airport which marks the end of your epic adventure.

After one last breakfast, your driver will collect you from the lodge at a time previously arranged time in order to take you to the airport in good time for your return flight or onward travel arrangements.
